Bought a while back only used it today. This model is so much better than the first type I bought and used near 40 year ago. Well done, excellent service. Many thanks.
Superb piece of engineering.
Replaced my old mercury carbtune with this one. No mercury to worry about getting sucked up into the carbs now!
Just as easy to use, just balanced a set of carbs on a 26 year old ST1100. What a difference it made.
Much prefer the full "pro" kit though I still have to use the old T piece from the old carbtune.
I burnt through a hose on the exhaust of my BMW R1150RS!
I was really pleased to find genuine spares at such a reasonable price with free delivery.
Well done, well impressed and I’ll make sure the hoses get no-where near the exhaust next time.
Love the quality of my 4-cylinder Carbtune kit, it's really well-made, nice attention to detail. Whilst it's a small detail, it's really nice that the whole thing came with a storage bag where everything fits into it nice and easily - no trying to work-out how it all goes back in! Very happy with this, and how it was posted out quickly. Top work.
Bought some dial gauges recently, they were useless, found the carbtune … it arrived within 48hours and after 30 minutes I had the throttle bodies balanced! Very pleased
Pleased with item, very easy to use, it's worth the money to ensure accurate balancing of carberretors, I have previously used cheap gauges from ebay which turned out to be a waste of money,
Absolutely brilliant, i had the bike like factory running with in 20 minutes from start to finish.. best buy iv had for a long time.. Thank you CarbtuneShop..
Good product happy
Used it to balance both my bike and my cars carbs, easy to use.
Not yet used my Carbtune gauge yet, but bought it to balance my motorbike carbs after I clean and rebuild them.
I did some research on which gauge to buy and, invariably, the Morgan Carbtune was the recommended device.
Apart from getting the best price I could find by buying directly from the manufacturer, (ie; CarbtuneShop) the added bonus was getting a free extra set of adapters and spare restrictor tube (which would be £14, if bought separately).
[The only slightly negative comment I would make, is that the restrictor tube and hoses need cutting and assembling before use. However, I recognise that if this was done by the manufacturer, the price would have to increase slightly to cover the cost of the time involved (albeit 10 - 15 minutes).]
I've added coloured and numbered labels to each end of my hoses, in order to avoid any mix-up between gauge and carb ends. I've also added a velco strap to keep the hoses neatly in the case, when stored. (These 'upgrades' could also be considered by the manufacturer but, again, the price would probably need to rise.)
On the subject of the storage case, one minor improvement the manufacturer could make, would be to fit some kind of hook, so that the case could be hung up when not in use.
Not having used the gauge, I obviously can't comment further, but all the reviews I read suggest that I will be very satisfied when I do.
Bloody brilliant. Don’t forget to fit restrictor. I bought brass extensions to fit my Honda CB750K1 which already had them.
Connected everything up and started engine . No3 cyl miles off. Other 3 cylinders within 2 lines on the scale.
2 minutes later all adjusted to within 1 line on the scale.
Clutch rattle much less and engine sounds like it’s in a happy place.
Brilliant . Many thanks
Great bit of kit and a must for keeping your carbs in tune. Came within a couple of days from ordering with super clear instructions that even I could understand. It has all the necessary connectors and after about 10 minutes I was done. The bike sounds alot happier now and it was much easier than I thought it would be. I have tried the round gauge type and (possibly user error?) I wasn't getting consistent readings. I like this much better. Glad I bought it.
Fabulous product that is easy to use and no calibration is required. I highly recommend this product. Fast shipping.
Contacted Carbtune as I needed some extra damping tube for my set of four gauges. A reply was bery quickly received, directing me to the right area. Whilst in the shop I also decided to buy the storage pouch for my gauges. Item was received extremely quickly, well packaged and looks a quality item at a great price. Just what I needed and wanted. A+*+*+*
Good quality full recommended. Fast delivery.
